The DEX 45 is also, like many products from the iconic Black Ember brand, a technical entity. It features a lightweight Cordura® RN66 shell, laser-cut and strategically bonded hypalon panels, and YKK Aquaguard zippers. Its 3D straps with two densities of EVA foam offer both cushioning and support, and the back panel is a high-density frame sheet that conforms perfectly to your body shape. Black Ember is proud to be the first brand in the world to collaborate with Cordura® for its new Cordura® re/cor™ RN66. This is the first 100% recycled nylon textile made from Cordura®. The code name RN66 stands for recycled nylon six, six. That 6.6 rating means it's a high-tenacity, ultra-durable nylon that has passed the brutal barrage of tests that make a woven nylon a Cordura®... And to top off the technical prowess, the DEX's top pocket is equipped with the famous Fidlock V-buckle. Love.
Beyond being a technical UFO, the DEX 45 Black Ember is a backpack that will allow you to carry up to 45 liters of stuff, including your computer (up to 16 inches) thanks to the compartment provided for this purpose. Good news: it also exists in 30 liters for the most minimalist!
